Great Britain boasts world-renowned universities as measured by the official global rankings. The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education oversees British universities in order to ensure that teaching and research standards are thoroughly observed.
High employability rates
It is well known that UK both undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications have a strong international reputation, UK degrees opening the doors of top employers, governmental institutions and international companies.
Variety of programmes
Great Britain offers the widest variety of English-taught higher education programmes from Marine Biology to Criminology, from Fine Arts to Biomedical Sciences and from Acting to Aerospace Engineering.
Shorter duration of courses
Since British Bachelor programmes generally last 3 years and Master programmes 1 year, accommodation and living costs may be reduced, while also enabling graduates to enter the labour force or progress into research sooner.
Access to higher education
British universities offer Foundation degrees as a direct progression route to Bachelor studies to high school graduates with lower academic achievements or to those who wish to progress to a different field of study.
The tuition fee loan that fully covers tuition costs and the postgraduate loan that covers master tuition and potentially part of the living costs are awarded by the British government and have a flexible repayment plan (only after graduation and depending on income).

After I’ve decided in the last seconds that I want to study in Great Britain, with the help of my counsellor, I managed to open the way to my own dream. My first week spent at Birmingham City University has been dedicated to international students and all the activities I’ve been involved in taught me that friendships can be created regardless of your native language, religion or colour. I met hundreds of students and now I have friends from all over the world. Being an international student is a way to develop my personal skills and integrate better into society.
I am really enjoying my student life here, the professors are very open and willing to help and so are my colleagues. KEA was certainly the perfect decision for me and Denmark as well. Before I got there, I was worried about all the necessary documents and procedures, but I was surprised how easy everything was in the end. All the university representatives are smiling and help you no matter what, and if you experience difficulties, everything is quickly solved.
It might seem impossible to become a student in the UK, but if you’re surrounded by lovely people that are willing to support you, then it’s easier than it seems. Besides my family, my EDMUNDO counsellor helped me a lot in achieving my goal, and every time I needed a piece of advice regarding the application, she knew what to tell me. Her willingness to help students like me, makes me now so grateful and so happy, because I’m aware that without her support I wouldn’t have been here.
